Biology and Robots

I’ve been doing research about life and robots throughout the fall semester. We have gotten to a time where digitized programmable electronics can have behavior and it makes me wonder that if computers can now make decisions using if statements and can execute actions dictated by instructions in a program what is to keep them from one day eventually being fully-functioning sentient beings. I have no doubt that there is a flurry of reasons why this is too far from possible and that my research is flawed with hocus pocus theories, but I can’t help but wonder. To the right is an image linked to the paper I wrote for the class that find robotic parallels to 7 descriptions of a living organism according to biology.
