LED Dream Catcher

Rendition of what the dream catcher might look like.

In Native American cultures the spirits are just as real as physical objects. They can enter our homes and our minds and affect the energy and course of action. A lot of effort is put to ward off bad spirits from infecting our psyche with negative thoughts. It is believed that we are most vulnerable when our guard is down, while we are sleeping. Humans spend a lot of time sleeping and so ‘the Dream Catcher’ was made to protect our minds during this time. A cobweb would catch bad spirits as they drifted in the air. An LED sequence addition that responded to body motions of the sleeping person would act as an additional buffer to negative energy. The various LED sequences would appropriately respond to the various states of panic and would trigger soothing light patterns of various tempos and crescendos. If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, it still makes a sound. Likewise, without being aware of the effects of the dream catcher, it is nonetheless a comfort to know it is protecting you while you slumber.
